Project Details

“The Gray House” - a six-hour Civil War spy drama series produced by KEVIN COSTNER's Territory Pictures along with MORGAN FREEMAN’s Revelations Entertainment as well as Leslie Greif's Big Dreams Entertainment. The production will be shot entirely in ROMANIA in APRIL - AUGUST 2023. Production services will be provided by CASTEL FILM România, the largest full-service studio and production company in Romania and one of the most important in Central and Eastern Europe and the service provider for many major projects, such as "Cold Mountain", "Borat", "The Nun", "Hatfields & McCoys", "Around The World In 80 Days". OSCAR-NOMINATED ROLAND JOFFE (The Killing Fields, The Mission, Texas Rising) is set to direct the series which will shoot in the spring. “The Gray House” is based on an original script by Greif and Darrell Fetty (The Offer, Texas Rising) and OSCAR-NOMINATED John Sayles (Lonestar, 8 Men Out). “The Gray House” focuses on the unsung women who turned the tide of the American Civil War in favor of the North. A Richmond Socialite and her daughter, a formerly enslaved African-American, and a courtesan build the first successful female spy ring, operating right under the noses of the Confederate High Command. They risk life and liberty to help win the war and preserve American Democracy. CASTING CALL! WE ARE SEARCHING FOR: ENGLISH-SPEAKING TALENT ideally based in Romania (or available to easily travel to Romania, as the production will be shot entirely in ROMANIA in APRIL - AUGUST 2023): - PROFESSIONAL ACTORS, - AMATEUR ACTORS, - KIDS & "REAL PEOPLE" females and males of all ages, NATIVE or very good ENGLISH SPEAKERS (No accent!), to be cast for multiple characters. You’ll have 17 shooting days, following dates: 5, 10, 18, 19, 23, 27 of May, 20 of June; 1, 4, 5, 8, 11, 12, 13, 26, 27 of July; 8 of August.

ROLE “AMANDA”: Professional Actresses only! Playing age: 35-45 years old. The character has a 10-year-old boy and is a widow. The main requirement is good English and the ability to easily learn the southern accent. APPLY: Please apply directly using your profile on The Cast List platform.
